Building Fire Suppression
Fire is indiscriminate and can affect all buildings regardless of function or size, often with devastating consequences. Building fire suppression minimises these risks.

Buildings need to be designed to offer a suitable level of fire safety and minimise the risks from heat and smoke. The main objective of fire suppression is to reduce the potential for death or injury to the occupants of a building and others who may become involved, such as the fire and rescue service. The secondary objective is to protect the building contents and ensure that as much as possible of the building can continue to function after the fire. The risk to adjoining properties also needs to be considered as well as potential environmental pollution.
